Ok, let’s face it. Toddlers are hard to shop for. You can give them a toy and they’ll be excited about it for a week, and then you’ll find it in a random closet. Toddlers have short attention spans, so that’s why this is the PERFECT list for your 2-4 year olds!

  1. Kinetic Sand

Kinetic Sand doesn’t dry up, making it the PERFECT gift for toddlers…Kinetic Sand also has many different kits such as the one pictured above-it makes the toddlers WANT to keep playing with the toys.

Pros: Pretty cheap to buy, easy for toddlers to play with, and has different kits to try out!

Cons: Can get really messy, and if you have carpet it can be a nightmare, after a while your hands get a little oily- not really sure what that is…

  1. Melissa and Doug Playsets

Melissa and Doug was SUCH a famous brand when I was younger, and I literally grew up with the set pictured above. I got it when I was 5 years old, and yet I still have most of the pieces. This piece is fun because the fruits and veggies have velcro sticking them together, and you get to use a knife to cut them apart. Melissa and Doug have lots of other sets too. Honorable Mentions: Ice Cream parlor, “cleaning” set, and animal hospital.

Pros: Great for kids who love pretend play, Creative sets, and Great reviews!

Cons: There really aren’t many, but sometimes the little pieces can get lost easily.

  1. Brain Quest Quiz decks

Brain Quest Decks are great gifts for pretty much any kid, because they have these types of decks for almost all ages. These make the perfect road trip activity, because anyone who can read can quiz your child on these. The best part is that this specific deck

Pros: Teaches kids new skills, keeps them entertained and is GREAT for road trips!

Cons:Not every kid is going to reach for a deck of educational facts and questions!

  1. Toddler Pogo Sticks

Safety+Energy Burn+Fun= Toddler Pogo Sticks! Honestly, these are one of the best things I’ve ever seen. Not only do they keep the kids safe, but it also burns their energy. The classic pogo stick would make you fall if you aren’t experienced, or just don’t know how to use it. THIS pogo stick, however, has a base made out of foam, and the space between the handle and it is made out of a strong plastic wire. This helps the kids balance because of the pressure build up, and stops them from falling off.

Pros: Burns Energy, Safe, and Keeps the kids busy

Cons: Not really many, but if I had to say something, the pogo stick is way too perfect! 😉

  1. Kids Craft Kits

If your child’s a crafter, this is a great kit for them! I wouldn’t exactly consider this as a guided craft kit, but more of a “here’s a bunch of random art supplies, try to make something out of it!” type. Basically, you have the full creative liberty. This is a great refill for a craft bin or table, and would make the PERFECT gift for anyone who enjoys this type of activity!

Pros: Comes with a storage box, has a wide variety of items, Comes with basic things like scissors and glue as well, and keeps kids entertained for large amounts of time.

Cons: Not really for the person who doesn’t like crafts.
